That means full 60-minute treatment sessions, a plan built around your body,not your coverage,and a therapist who is 100% focused on you from start to finish. Many clients find that fewer, higher-quality sessions get them better results faster than a longer course of insurance-based care.

In Texas, you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral through what’s called direct access. This means you can start treatment right away instead of waiting for a doctor’s visit first. If your condition requires care beyond a certain period or involves more complex medical issues, we’ll coordinate with your physician to ensure you’re getting the appropriate care. For most muscle, joint, and movement-related problems, direct access allows you to get evaluated and begin treatment quickly—helping you recover faster and more efficiently.

Your first visit is a 90-minute, one-on-one session with your physical therapist,no aides, no assistants, no split attention. We'll take a thorough history of what's been going on, assess how your body moves, identify the root cause of your pain or dysfunction, and begin hands-on treatment in that same session. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's driving your symptoms and a plan for what comes next.

Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes and fully one-on-one with your therapist. Every minute is dedicated to hands-on care and targeted treatment, focusing on what you can’t effectively do on your own at home so you get the most out of each visit.

The number of sessions needed varies based on your evaluation and goals. For clients dealing with pain from movement dysfunction, treatment typically progresses in phases.

In the first phase (2–4 weeks), we focus on two key areas: releasing muscle and fascial restrictions, and restoring proper muscle activation. When needed, joint mobilization or manipulation is used to further improve mobility. Research shows muscle activation typically improves within 2–4 weeks, while meaningful strength gains occur over 6–8 weeks.

Throughout this process, we retrain your movement patterns—the true source of most pain and dysfunction—to create lasting results. For more active clients, this may also include refining running or sport-specific movements to enhance performance.

Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows access to the area being treated. For knee or hip issues, shorts are ideal. For shoulder or neck concerns, a loose shirt or tank top works best. Ladies should wear a sports bra to allow access to the thoracic spine if needed.

Most clients feel a dull, achy sensation or a brief muscle twitch when the needle reaches a trigger point—this is a normal response and a sign the treatment is working. Due to the very small size of the needle, it feels much different from a typical injection.

Soreness for 8–24 hours after treatment is common, similar to a deep tissue massage, and most clients find the results well worth it.

Dry needling is a valuable tool that allows us to treat areas that are difficult to reach manually, but it's just one of many techniques we use. If you prefer not to use needles, we have plenty of other effective options to help you reach your goals.

For most conditions, your program will take no more than 10 minutes, 1–2 times per day. For athletes, additional work may be included based on your sport or training routine.
